What is hot rolled mild steel equal angle and what is it used for?
Equal angle sections are widely used for general fabrication work, frame making, automotive applications, and in the construction industries. Equal angle has a 90° angle in the centre of the profile and both sides having equal width. Our stocks include widths of 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 45 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm, 70 mm, 75 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, and 150 mm (measurements stated relate to each side of the angle iron) in a wide choice of wall thicknesses. Our stocks are available in S275JR and S355JR grades of mild steel and are supplied in a mill finish. These grades of mild steel have excellent weldability and machining properties, and poor corrosion resistance and formability performance.
What is hot rolled mild steel unequal angle and what is it used for?
Unequal angle sections have a 90° angle as with standard equal angle, however, the width of the sides are not the same- the corner does not lay central to the profile, it is essentially an L shape. This profile is perfect for use in projects where asymmetrical support is required, therefore, it is often used in vehicle construction, bridge building, and construction. Our range holds a wide choice of measurements ranging from 40 mm x 25 mm right through to 100 mm x 200 mm and is available in a choice of wall thickness. Unequal angle is available in mill finish S275JR and S355JR grade mild steel which has excellent weldability and machinability, and poor corrosion resistance and formability properties.
What is hot rolled mild steel T angle and what is it used for?
Mild Steel T Angles: ‘Ferrite Steels’ supplies ‘L’ shape angles, ”T” shape angles are classified as light angles heavy angles, unequal angles and other imported profiles, rolled angles. MS T Angles are used in various construction, engineering and fabrication activities, MS T Angles are most commonly used steel structural item.
